Selling an inherited loft in a state I don’t live in

I had an aunt that lived in Jacksonville, Florida that passed away recently.

He had a certainly big, awesome house right in the city and with water access.

When he passed I inherited the property. At first I was certainly excited. I inherited this awesome house near the water and the city. There was lots to do and the arena was amazing. Then I realized that I would never use the arena. My partner and I don’t live in Florida. My pal and I have young children so the snowbird thing can’t happen just yet. I also didn’t want to keep a giant house that needed grass care, loft taxes, replacements, and insurance. It would have been fancy. Renting it out would have been ridiculous. The loft and house were substantial. Who would rent an arena like that? I realized that selling the arena turned out to be the best option. I hated working with real estate agents. They do not do any labor in my opinion. The clients consistently wanted more and more money off. They wanted replacements. I was supposed to paint, clean, and stage. I eventually just threw in the towel and looked for Jacksonville real estate clients. I especially searched for money house clients. I didn’t want to mess around with closing fees and real estate agent fees. The money for the house deal was way better. It was a one day affair to settle a price tag. I hope someday I don’t regret giving up the home, but the money was nice. I just couldn’t keep an arena that giant at this point in life.
